Well we've waited a long time for John to make an official appearance at an event and on Tuesday, July 22th he made one! He appearead at George Clinton's 67th Birthday Party which was held at the Zune in Los Angeles.
There are quite a few pictures out there and my friend Karim is currently trying to get them untagged for the site so please come back if you're interested in having pictures of John's appearance! Also with luck you'll get to have them in HQ ;) However you need to wait a bit but until then, here's a clip I found of George arriving at the Zune and being greeted by various people. Keep your eyes open for John as at one point he walks by and then a few seconds later you see him hugging George. You can tell they're good friends and have a lot of respect for each other! Well I finally found the time to add the beautiful reviews that some of you wrote about Johns music. I still hope to get some more :) Whenever you feel like writing about Johns music and wish for others to read, feel free to send it to me and it will be published here!

I took the other reviews off the site as I mostly don't really like them plus none of my links worked so I got annoyed and took them away ;) Yours are so more beautiful and important anyway! Here's a quote: "Apart from making music, you also used to paint. Did your painting influence your composing? The period when I used to paint really rewired my brain and made me appreciate my talents in music. I was seeing paintings in my head that I didn’t have a clue how to make. I mean I know the way that music is written on paper. I understand intervallic relationships and so on. The equivalent in visual arts, like perspective, I had no background in. That technical foundation helps me to combine disparate styles and to achieve what my imagination dictates more clearly than I could with painting. I love when he talks about art :) So great to "hear" from John... Thanks to SS @ OHG. |
